The Downey family will be coming home with their new son/brother, Zoli on September 18 and will be homebound for a few weeks. We would like to shower them with love during this time by collecting gift cards for grocery and food delivery. Gift cards can be placed in the box at the Sign Up Center. Some suggestions would be:

It's not too early to start planning your trunk for our Zoofari Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27. We encourage all of our Farragut families to include a decorated trunk. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in these categories: Most Biblical, Most Creative, Best Themed (Zoofari), and HUH??!

Information on the Building Revision is available at the Sign Up Center. Forms expressing your approval or concerns are also available and can be anonymous and turned in by the offering plate. If you would like to make a new commitment to the Building fund, cards for that are available at the Sign Up Center as well.

A 2019 Reading Through The Bible Plan is available in the Welcome Center kiosk. You can also find the plan online at https://thebibleproject.com. Scroll down towards the bottom to the Read The Bible In One Year section. You can download the plan, get the app, read daily scriptures or watch videos from there.
FCC is offering free access to RightNow Media which is a huge, streaming, online, access on any device library of over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, kids shows and more. Kind of like the Netflix of Bible study videos. Theses videos can provide help with parenting, marriage, discipleship, and more. There is something for all stages of life. We encourage you join and to share with your family members. If you received an invitation (probably from Aaron Brunsman) we encourage to take advantage of this offer. If you did not receive an invitation and are interested, please contact the church office and we will add your email address or go here now.
As our Building Commitment phase begins to wind down, we ask that as you give to the Building Project you indicate "building pledge" in the memo line of your check or online giving. Did you know that we have an online directory? Fill out an FCC Office Information form to be included. When the office lets you know that you are on the Directory, go to farragutcc.com and click on "Members" under the "Who We Are" drop down menu. Scroll down and you will find a link to the directory. In the directory page enter your name as First.Last both capitalized (i.e. Joe.Smith) and then the password Jesusislove. If you have never signed on before it should prompt your to change your password. After you have gone online, you can also download an app for your phone, search for Simple Church. If you would like to be included in the directory see Dena Cunningham for the consent form to complete. If you are already in the directory and haven't included a photo of yourself, we ask that you do (or send a picture to Dena) to help others in our congregation put a name to a face.

On Saturday, September 28 we will travel to Cades Cove, drive around the loop, and stop lunch at the Carriage House before heading home. We will leave the church at 9:15am. Please sign up at the Sign Up Center.
We will have a Daytrip to Muddy Pond and Oktoberfest in Crossville on Saturday, October 19. Advance admission tickets of $6 for Oktoberfest are available from James and Diane Oliver by October 6. Potluck and Bingo ~ Sunday, October 6. We will meet right after worship service in the KidMin area. We have invited the College Age group to join us for a meal and to play Bingo. A Christmas Carol at Clarence Brown Theater ~ Saturday, December 14. We will attend the 7:30pm showing and the cost is #30 per person. Small group Bible Studies resume:
- Wednesday morning study resumed August 21. They meet weekly in the Youth Room from 9-11am. Childcare is available. They will be studying Twelve Women of the Bible: Life-Changing Stories for Women Today. You can get more information on the Women's Ministry page, Facebook or contact April Jones.
- Tuesday evening study will start on September 24. They meet every other week in the Library at 6:00pm. They will study Knowing God's Word from the Women of Faith series. You can get more information on the Women's Ministry page, Facebook or contact Margaret Rosenbalm. Please contact Margaret if you plan to attend the kick-off at O'Charley's.
The annual Smoky Mountain Women's Fall Getaway is September 27-29 at Smoky Mountain Christian Camp. You can find registration forms at the Sign Up Center or on the Women's Ministry page.

The September Care List is available in your Sunday School class this Sunday and in the kiosk next to the Welcome Center.
Our C.A.R.E. Food Pantry helps feed over 40 families in our local community each month. The food is either donated by you, members of FCC and other friends of the church, or it is purchased through Second Harvest and local grocery stores. Well over 90% of the food we distribute is purchased. The Food Pantry funding is not part of the church budget. In the past, money has been graciously donated by FCC members and friends of the church to support this ministry. Right now this ministry is in need of funds to buy food to adequately stock the pantry. Please prayerfully consider giving a regular monetary donation in addition to to the items listed each week to help support this valuable and important ministry.

During the past 3 months of 2019, KARM stores received 68 donations from those connected to Farragut Christian Church!! We received $610 in gift cards to share with those we know in need! Please continue to mention FCC when you make a donation at KARM stores. Volunteer hours also goes toward gift cards that we may receive to help others.
We offer to those who can't get to church, personal car transportation on the first Sunday of every month. Call the church office on the Friday before that Sunday to reserve your ride.
Home Repair & Maintenance Ministry is a ministry dedicated to helping those who need help with their home repairs. It is targeted to those who cannot do the work themselves or cannot afford to pay someone to do the work. If you need these services, you can call the church office or contact John Barncord at 207-5208 or email@example.com.
CARE Food Pantry provides food for families in the Farragut area. Most of the families are single parent homes and the elderly. Many of these families come every month. Please help us keep the pantry stocked by donating the food items of the week. These are items that we can not purchase at Second Harvest.

Parents, Small Groups and Friends ~ Every Sunday night we begin youth group with food and fellowship. There is something special that happens whe you get prople together to eat. Would you consider providing food for a Sunday night? Some nights we have a full meal provided by a single person or group and on other nights we have a few people brings sides. Anything is appreciated and valuable to the youth ministry. You can sign up and get details here.
Youth Group Lock Out ~ October 18-19. Join us from 10pm on the 18th to 7am on the 19th. The cost is $35 per student. Go here to register and get more information.
High School Retreat ~ November 8-10. On November 8 will will be leading a Parent's Night Out for our friends at Restoration House. After that event our high school students will travel to a cabin in Pigeon Forge for a weekend of hiking, go-carts, community, and devotions. The cost is $100. That will include food, lodging, go-carts, and travel. Sign up and get more information here.
Life Groups - Wednesdays. Our goal is to help students process life events through the lens of God's word. Middle School students will meet at the Sealey's house from 6:00-7:30pm. The High School students will meet at the church from 7:00-8:30pm. Call the church office if you need directions.
Student Worship - Sundays 4:30-6:30pm. The high school and middle school students meet together to enjoy snacks, play challenging group games, and learn more about what it means to follow Christ.
New waiver and release forms are now available on the Student Ministry page of our website. Each student will need a waiver for any off campus event. The waiver is good for everything we do this year unless a venue requires a separate one. Once the waiver is filled please return to Kenny.

Have you ever wondered what we actually do in Kid's Worship? The kids get to experience adult worship on Family Sundays, now you have the opportunity to worship with us in the KidMin Worship Room at 10:30am! We hope you consider using this time to worship with your child on their turf.
