    Everyone is invited to an Open House for our graduating High School Seniors THIS Sunday, May 20 from 3-5pm in the church foyer. The students being honored are Alicia Gray, Ryan Kent, Chloe Nussbaum, Gabe Warden, and Andrew Wilkins.

    Mark your calendars now for our annual Memorial Day Picnic on May 27th! Join us at 5:00pm; we will provide the meat, you supply the sides and/or desserts.

    As our Building Commitment phase begins to wind down, we ask that as you give to the Building Project you indicate "building pledge" in the memo line of your check or online giving.     A new 2018 Reading Through The Bible Plan is available in the Welcome Center kiosk. You can also find the plan online at https://thebibleproject.com. Scroll down towards the bottom to the Read The Bible In One Year section. You can download the plan, get the app, read daily scriptures or watch videos from there.

    The Library has added new books in March! Many new children's books including some beautiful Children's Christian books and early readers with their favorite characters. Many new Adult fiction books from your favorite authors like Tracie Peterson and Karen Kingsbury.  Go here to see the new titles and/or visit the library.

    Did you know that we have an online directory? Fill out an FCC Office Information form to be included. When the office lets you know that you are on the Directory, go to farragutcc.com and click on "Members" under the "Who We Are" dropdown menu. Scroll down and you will find a link to the directory. In the directory page enter your name as First.Last both capitalized (i.e. Joe.Smith) and then the password Jesusislove. If you have never signed on before it should prompt your to change your password. After you have gone online, you can also download an app for your phone, search for Simple Church. If you would like to be included in the directory see Dena Cunningham for the consent form to complete. If you are already in the directory and haven't included a photo of yourself, we ask that you do (or send a picture to Dena) to help others in our congregation put a name to a face.

    Want to connect to our wi-fi? In your settings for wi-fi, look for "FCC" under choose a network. The password is "Jesusislove".

    Follow along with the sermon on your smartphone or tablet. Each Sunday Jason will post a live event on the YouVersion Bible app. The live event will include places to take notes and scripture used during the sermon. It may also include quotes mentioned, links to websites for more information, and surveys. Here are the steps to get to the event:

    Join us on Saturday, June 9 at 9am for Breakfast In The Park at the Longstreet Pavilion in Founder's Park, 405 N Campbell Station Road. The meal is provided at a cost of $5 per person payable at the event. Plenty of food, fun and fellowship awaits! Sign up in the Foyer.

    Don't Miss The Boat! On October 27 we will board the Knoxville Star at 4:15pm and set sail at 5:00 to cruise down the Tennessee River. Attendees will enjoy a fantastic buffet dinner, entertainment will be a "who done it murder mystery." The $44 fee is all inclusive. An $11 deposit is due by Sunday, June 17 to reserve a seat. The balance is due October 7. Contact Terry Borger with any questions.

    Thursday night Bible study 6pm - 7pm. We go through books of the Bible and do a verse by verse study and share in prayer time together. Open to all men to come and study with us.

    We have many opportunities for men to serve at FCC. If you would be interested in serving communion or being on our walking patrol during worship service on Sunday morning, please contact Dick Coombs, call the church office or fill out an interest card at the Sign Up Center.



    Treasured, a Women's Conference to be held at Johnson University on May 18-19. Information and registration forms are at the Sign Up Center. You can also go here for more information. Johnson has requested if you plan to attend to go ahead and register now.

    Did you know that there are Mom's Prayer Groups that pray for your child's school? If you would be interested in joining a prayer group we have information at our Sign Up Center.

    VBS Volunteers can register here now for our Shipwrecked VBS to be held on July 30 - August 3.

    New Intertwined Opportunity - Volunteers are needed to manage or assist with sales venues on evenings or Saturdays. This is a great opportunity for women who work but would like to be involved in this ministry! See Sandy Bumbalough for more details.

    Our C.A.R.E. Food Pantry helps feed over 40 families in our local community each month. The food is either donated by you, members of FCC and other friends of the church, or it is purchased through Second Harvest and local grocery stores. Well over 90% of the food we distribute is purchased. The Food Pantry funding is not part of the church budget. In the past, money has been graciously donated by FCC members and friends of the church to support this ministry. Right now this ministry is in need of funds to buy food to adequately stock the pantry. Please prayerfully consider giving a regular monetary donation in addition to to the items listed each week to help support this valuable and important ministry.

    Save your receipts from Cedar Springs Christian Store and donate them to the library. Cedar Springs will give 10% of the total in free books to the library! You can leave the receipts in the library or give to Dena Cunningham.

    During the fourth quarter of 2017, KARM stores received 88 donations from those connected to Farragut Christian Church!! That makes 240 donations to KARM for the year. We received $360 in gift cards to share with those we know in need! Please continue to mention FCC when you make a donation at KARM stores. Volunteer hours also goes toward gift cards that we may receive to help others.

    We offer to those who can't get to church, personal car transportation on the first Sunday of every month. Call the church office on the Friday before that Sunday to reserve your ride.

    Home Repair & Maintenance Ministry is a ministry dedicated to helping those who need help with their home repairs. It is targeted to those who cannot do the work themselves or cannot afford to pay someone to do the work. Volunteers can signup at the Sign Up Center. If you need these services, you can call the church office or contact John Barncord at 207-5208 or jcbarncord@energysolutions.com.

    CARE Food Pantry provides food for families in the Farragut area. Most of the families are single parent homes and the elderly. Many of these families come every month. Please help us keep the pantry stocked by donating the food items of the week. These are items that we can not purchase at Second Harvest.

    FCC collects used cell phones and accessories to donate to a women's crisis center. You can place your donations in the basket in CARE Food Pantry cart.

    This summer our youth will be serving with a local church in Belize on a week long mission trip. We are partnering with a mission organization called Praying Pelican. The heart of the organization is to connect the local church on a global level. You can find out more about this ministry here. This trip is for upcoming 9th-12th graders and middle school students accompanied by an adult. The trip is slated for the week of July 7th. To donate to the trip go to this page.

    Smoky Mountain Christian Camp has their Summer 2018 schedule and registrations forms up and running. Go here for more info. Kenny will be the dean for 5th & 6th grade week, June 10-15.

    New waiver and release forms are now available on the Student Ministry page of our website. Each student will need a waiver for any off campus event. The waiver is good for everything we do this year unless a venue requires a separate one. Once the waiver is filled please return to Kenny.

    Parents, please add yourself to the new Farragut Christian Church Student Ministry Facebook group. Kenny will regularly add upcoming announcements, pictures, and information. We also have an Instagram account where Kenny will weekly add pictures and student announcements. the user name is _fccstudentmin_.

    Life Groups - Wednesdays. Our goal is to help students process life events through the lens of God's word. Middle School students will meet at the Sealey's house from  6:00-7:30pm. The High School students will meet at the church from 7:00-8:30pm. Call the church office if you need directions.

    Student Worship - Sundays 5:00-6:30pm. The high school and middle school students meet together to enjoy snacks, play challenging group games, and learn more about what it means to follow Christ.

    Work projects needed to help students raise funds. Contact the office if have any work you need done.

    FCC Mini Indy 500 will return this year during our annual Memorial Day Picnic, Sunday, May 27! Kids 2-12 are invited to participate in this fun bike track event! Skilled tracks, separate Preschool tracks, snacks and even a bike wash. Bikes, trikes, scooters, and skates are welcome! Please wear close-toed shoes to protect those little toes. And...prepare to get WET!

    Sail Away With A Good Book! Our Children's Summer Reading Club will kick off at our Memorial Day Picnic, Sunday, May 27th. Kids can read books this summer to win prizes. There are 3 reading levels, non-readers, beginning readers, and  readers. This year we will also have a BONUS Challenges! The library will be open every Wednesday morning from 10-11 for PreK-5th grade kids to hear a story and/or spend some quiet time reading on their own.
