We are working with the local missionary support group called Missional Living to collect Missionary Care Package items. Missional Living help with missionary furlough transportation, housing, and support. They worked us when Matt & Susan Nance were in town in 2018. They provide travel care packages and housing supplies for missionaries coming to the states on furlough. Throughout the month of May we will be collecting items. VBS Volunteers! Registration is open. Go here to register. Please plan to attend our VBS Volunteer Training THIS Sunday, May 26 from 3-4pm. This will be a quick one-hour training on this year's theme, your specific VBS role, and any important information that will help all of us feel more comfortable with one of our largest outreach events. Fifty percent of the kids already registered for VBS do NOT attend our church! VBS will run Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2, 5:30-8:00pm. Supper is provided.
Join us for our Memorial Day Picnic and Family Camp-out THIS Sunday, May 26 beginning at 5:00pm. Please bring your favorite side dish and/or dessert to share, FCC will provide the meat. There will be a Mini Indy 500 for the kids (see the Kids Section below) and after the picnic you can pitch a tent and camp out on the grounds. We will provide the campfire and 'smores. If some talented people bring some guitars, we can sing around the campfire!
Our Middle School Miami Mission Team will have a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 1. Mark your calendars to attend. The team has begun accepting donations. You can bring donations anytime during office hours (9-5, M-TH). Contact Kenny concerning any large donations.
The Miami Mission Team is also selling t-shirts to help raise funds for the mission trip. You can order yours here or see Kenny. The cost is $20 per shirt and the deadline is June 16.
The Hot Topic Box is in the foyer again for you to provide questions for our three special Summer Sunday Nights. On June 2 our topic will be Faith and Sexuality. We would like you to submit questions to help with the discussion. These questions might be questions your kids have asked or maybe your friends have asked. We will develop a Biblical Sexual Ethic to help you answer these questions. On June 30 we will have a parent panel. We would like you to submit names of parents you think would do well on the panel and questions you have for that panel. On July 21 we will have a marriage panel. Please submit names of couples that you think would do well on the panel and questions you have for that panel.

A 2019 Reading Through The Bible Plan is available in the Welcome Center kiosk. You can also find the plan online at https://thebibleproject.com. Scroll down towards the bottom to the Read The Bible In One Year section. You can download the plan, get the app, read daily scriptures or watch videos from there.
FCC is offering free access to RightNow Media which is a huge, streaming, online, access on any device library of over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, kids shows and more. Kind of like the Netflix of Bible study videos. Theses videos can provide help with parenting, marriage, discipleship, and more. There is something for all stages of life. We encourage you join and to share with your family members. If you received an invitation (probably from Aaron Brunsman) we encourage to take advantage of this offer. If you did not receive an invitation and are interested, please contact the church office and we will add your email address or go here now.
As our Building Commitment phase begins to wind down, we ask that as you give to the Building Project you indicate "building pledge" in the memo line of your check or online giving. The Library added new books in THIS month! Dena has pulled books related to our annual theme of Grace. Our Children's Summer Reading Program will kick-off this Sunday. We will go on a Reading Safari. New children's books have been added for this event and books related to this theme are highlighted. See the new books here or visit the library.
Did you know that we have an online directory? Fill out an FCC Office Information form to be included. When the office lets you know that you are on the Directory, go to farragutcc.com and click on "Members" under the "Who We Are" drop down menu. Scroll down and you will find a link to the directory. In the directory page enter your name as First.Last both capitalized (i.e. Joe.Smith) and then the password Jesusislove. If you have never signed on before it should prompt your to change your password. After you have gone online, you can also download an app for your phone, search for Simple Church. If you would like to be included in the directory see Dena Cunningham for the consent form to complete. If you are already in the directory and haven't included a photo of yourself, we ask that you do (or send a picture to Dena) to help others in our congregation put a name to a face.

On June 22 we will have our annual Breakfast in the Park! Cost is $5 per person payable at the event.There is a sign up sheet at the Sign Up Center. We ask that you sign up if you plan to attend and also indicate if you would be willing to bring a dish to the breakfast. Ruth Bradford will then contact you to coordinate the menu.

We have many opportunities for men to serve at FCC. If you would be interested in serving or preparing communion on Sunday morning, please contact Dick Coombs or call the church office. If you are interested in being on our walking patrol during worship service on Sunday morning please contact Dale Davis or the church office.

Our C.A.R.E. Food Pantry helps feed over 40 families in our local community each month. The food is either donated by you, members of FCC and other friends of the church, or it is purchased through Second Harvest and local grocery stores. Well over 90% of the food we distribute is purchased. The Food Pantry funding is not part of the church budget. In the past, money has been graciously donated by FCC members and friends of the church to support this ministry. Right now this ministry is in need of funds to buy food to adequately stock the pantry. Please prayerfully consider giving a regular monetary donation in addition to to the items listed each week to help support this valuable and important ministry.

During the third quarter of 2018, KARM stores received 50 donations from those connected to Farragut Christian Church!! We received $180 in gift cards to share with those we know in need! Please continue to mention FCC when you make a donation at KARM stores. Volunteer hours also goes toward gift cards that we may receive to help others.
We offer to those who can't get to church, personal car transportation on the first Sunday of every month. Call the church office on the Friday before that Sunday to reserve your ride.
Home Repair & Maintenance Ministry is a ministry dedicated to helping those who need help with their home repairs. It is targeted to those who cannot do the work themselves or cannot afford to pay someone to do the work. Volunteers can signup at the Sign Up Center. If you need these services, you can call the church office or contact John Barncord at 207-5208 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
CARE Food Pantry provides food for families in the Farragut area. Most of the families are single parent homes and the elderly. Many of these families come every month. Please help us keep the pantry stocked by donating the food items of the week. These are items that we can not purchase at Second Harvest.

Parent Meeting - THIS Sunday, May 26 @ 9:30am (during the SS hour). We will go over our summer calendar as well as some early fall dates. Parents of rising 6th graders are especially encouraged to attend. In our pre-summer meeting our core youth ministry values and goals are discussed.
Camp registration forms are available at the Sign Up Center and in the youth room.
Life Groups - Wednesdays. Our goal is to help students process life events through the lens of God's word. Middle School students will meet at the Sealey's house from 6:00-7:30pm. The High School students will meet at the church from 7:00-8:30pm. Call the church office if you need directions.
Student Worship - Sundays 4:30-6:30pm. The high school and middle school students meet together to enjoy snacks, play challenging group games, and learn more about what it means to follow Christ.
New waiver and release forms are now available on the Student Ministry page of our website. Each student will need a waiver for any off campus event. The waiver is good for everything we do this year unless a venue requires a separate one. Once the waiver is filled please return to Kenny.

We Are Going On a Reading Safari! You can still join us for our Children's Summer Book Club! Miss Dena will not be here this Sunday but Miss Madison will be there to help you check out and return books. If you have not signed up yet, visit the library after church and Miss Madison will take your picture and give you all the information you need to get started. No prizes will be awarded this Sunday.
