What we believe

Farragut Christian Church is a non-denominational church which is self-governed under the leadership of Christ, elders, and the staff who are selected by the congregation to lead our church.

SALVATION

We believe salvation is a free gift for all who receive God’s grace in faith (Acts 15:11). This faith expresses itself through repentance (Luke 13:3), confession (Romans 10:9-10), and immersion (Acts 2:38).

GOD BREATHED SCRIPTURE

We believe that the Scriptures are given to us through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. They exist to teach us, correct us, and even rebuke us and move us to the good works that we are commanded to do (2 Tim. 3:16).

IN ESSENTIALS, UNITY; IN OPINION, LIBERTY; IN ALL THINGS, LOVE

We seek full unity in matters about which the Bible has spoken (“essentials”). We allow liberty of opinion in those areas where the Bible is silent (“non-essentials”). In either circumstance, we seek to obey God’s command to love.

COMMUNION

Following Biblical example, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper each week during our worship service (Acts 20:7).

GIVING AND SERVICE

We believe the practice of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7) enables us to give back to the One who gave His all for us. We encourage all to serve in accordance with the gifts God has given them (James 1:27).
