Give Thanks November Family Challenge:
Giving thanks isn’t just something we do at Thanksgiving; we can have a year-round attitude of gratitude! The Bible encourages us to give praise and thanks to God, for the big things and for the little things too. Being thankful reminds us of God’s goodness and love, and studies have shown that fostering gratitude helps reduce anxiety because anxious thoughts and grateful thoughts can’t coexist. We hope you'll take advantage of this easy resource to help you build an attitude of gratitude at home and remind kids to give thanks to God every day! Using this resource is simple: Each day, use a coin to scratch off one bubble. Read the verse and say the accompanying prayer. That's it! We hope this Give Thanks Scripture Scratch-Off gives your kids a fun and exciting way to make gratitude, prayer, and scripture-reading a daily habit this fall season.
Preschool through 5th grade can join us for our Farragut Kids Friendsgiving on November 17 from 5:00-6:15pm. As friends we will enjoy some yummy food, watch Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Movie, and decorate cookies together! Visit the Farragut Kids Facebook page to sign up for Friendsgiving sides. Turkey and ham will be provided.
Join our Christmas event that will transport families back in time to Bethlehem to celebrate the birth of Jesus. As families travel through the indoor/outdoor Bethlehem Marketplace, they'll share authentic, multi-sensory experiences and discover the miraculous impact of Jesus' birth and life! Night in Bethlehem is Friday, December 13 at 6:00-7:30pm.
