This is a list of holiday events, many of which are free, in our community. These are not activities presented by or specifically endorsed by Farragut Christian Church but for information and entertainment for your family.

The Polar Express Train Ride

Starting November 19th

Embark on an hour-long trip to the North Pole on Kentucky's ONLY official Polar Express! Meet Santa Claus and his elves, and enjoy hot chocolate and a cookie while on board this magical Christmas tradition. Everyone receives the first gift of Christmas from Santa Claus himself. Fantasy of Trees

This special holiday event will showcase a theme of "Sweet Christmas Memories." The Fantasy of Trees creatures hundreds of sparkling designer-decorated holiday trees; a variety of festive and colorful decorations; holiday gift shops with unique items for everyone; a village of gingerbread houses; the "Fantasy Theater" featuring continuous live entertainment and dozens of children's activities including visits with Santa and hands-on holiday crafts.

The Fantasy of Trees is open November 24, 26, and 27 from 9am-9pm, on November 25 (Thanksgiving Day) from 3-8pm, and on November 28 from 12-6pm. Admission is $8 for adults and and $4 for children ages 4-11; children under 3 are free; family 4 pack $20 (online only). All proceeds from admission ticket sales, children's activities, and the designer sales at the Fantasy of Trees benefit Children's Hospital.

Johnson University's

Festival of Christmas Joy

Johnson University invites you to the Festival of Christmas Joy on Saturday, December 4, 2021. The Johnson University Tennessee Music Department, featuring the Johnson University Choir, Vox Royale, as well as other Johnson-oriented music groups, will perform a program of sacred and seasonal music at 7:00pm in the Phillips-Weishimer Auditorium (no cost; no reservation needed for the program).

Dinner is at 5:30pm in the Gally Commons. Paid dinner reservations are required. Purchase tickets by calling 865-251-3498 by November 27 or online at (cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12). Come with your small group, Sunday school class, family, and friends for a festive bringing-in of the Christmas season.


    A one hour professionally produced drama with live animals, over 200 person cast, and choir with orchestra. It is a free event at the Civic Coliseum. Dates are Saturday, December 11 at 3pm, Sunday, December 12 at 3pm, and Monday, December 13 at 7:00pm. For more information visit
